Marourde Elderberry & Elderflower sparkling mead is made by infusing elderflower & berries to give a bright, floral flavour. Amongst the many trees that grow at Mereworth, one tree lends itself particularly well to mead; the elder. With a pinch of champagne yeast added to a blend of honey and Kent water, they slowly ferment this meads for a month. Which is then infused with elderberry and elderflower for a deeply refreshing mead that’s naturally gluten free.
